Offcut labels and rack checks

Print a label for every reusable offcut, confirm where it is stored and check racks against the register.

A label for each piece

Each piece label shows its reference, material, measured length with its uncertainty, condition, batch where known and its rack and bin, with a barcode. Labels print as 100 × 150 mm PDFs, downloaded or sent to the printer through SmartFACT PrintStation, and rack and bin cards identify each storage position.

Put-away you confirm

Printing a label does not make a piece available. The operator attaches it, scans the piece and the bin card, and confirms. A label that failed to print leaves the piece waiting for put-away, and reprinting the same label never creates another piece.

Cuts change the label

A cut retires the original piece and its label. The remainder gets a new piece reference and label, linked to the piece it came from. Scanning an old label shows that the piece has been used, rather than pointing at the remainder.

Rack checks

A rack check walks one section and scans every label. RemnantRack lists the pieces seen, the pieces missing, unexpected pieces and unreadable labels for review. Missing pieces are withheld from search until they are found or written off, and nothing is deleted just because a scanner was quiet.

Early access starts with an agreed workflow. Supported scope and onboarding arrangements are confirmed with you.
